Mac Hamon - Senior Pastor
Mac Hamon traces his origins to Kansas. Moving to Indiana for graduate education, he received his Master of Divinity from Christian Theological Seminary where he was inducted into Theta Phi, a scholastic honor society for theologians. He pursued his Ph.D. at Indiana University where he taught a variety of classes in speech communication. Mac has held pastorates in Harrodsburg/Springville, Milroy, Sellersburg, St. Mark's in Bloomington, and Central in Evansville. He was a district superintendent in the Indianapolis West, Indianapolis Southeast, and Indianapolis East Districts. He has published articles in Communications Quarterly, Hoosier United Methodist, and other communication journals. Through an Eli Lily Grant in radio/television, Pastor Hamon produced programs for the NBC radio network, WISH-TV, WTHR-TV, and WTTV-TV. He is married and has twin daughters who are in college and two sons who are working in the careers of music and education. He enjoys jogging, automobile shows, auto racing, and football. Among his favorite passages of scripture are Psalm 131 and Hebrews 4:14-5:4a.
Matt Lipan - Associate Pastor for Operations & Preacher Sunrise Worship Center
As the lead for Family Ministries he oversees and provides support for Student Ministries, Children's Ministries, ECC and CUMNS preschools, and Young Adult programs of the church. Matt is the primary preacher for Renovate on Saturdays at 6:00 p.m. and also serves as the primary preacher on Sundays at the Sunrise Worship Center. Matt grew up in Holland, MI with a younger brother and two younger sisters. He came down to Indiana to attend Taylor University in Upland, IN where he received a B.A. in Christian Education and Youth Ministry. During his time at Taylor he met his wife Tai, a graduate of Anderson University and native Hoosier, and decided to make Indiana his home. Currently Matt is working on a Master of Divinity focusing on Christian Leadership from Asbury Theological Seminary while Tai is a professor of painting and drawing at Anderson University. Tracey Leslie - Associate Pastor for Programming
Prior to joining Castleton United Methodist Church, Tracey was the pastor at Marquette Park United Methodist Church in Gary, Indiana, for nine years. Tracey is orginally from Pennsylvania where she was ordained by the Western Pennsylvania Conference of the United Methodist Church in 1997. She received her Master of Divinity from the United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, where she was also the Director of United Sound, the seminary choir. Pastor Leslie is married to Britt Leslie, who is also an ordained United Methodist Pastor. In her free time, Tracey enjoys playing piano and jogging with their three dogs.
